This has been a successful hunting season for Cody. Forget the camouflage- we're looking for John Deere green. This spring he caught his first Bambi.
On Friday, Dad shot a doe. He's very pleased with it and can't wait to get it home and try it out on all sorts of useful projects like feeding calves, mowing ditches, and plowing snow.
Maybe next year he'll get his buck. Cody and his Dad "bleed green" according to his uncle, and I can only roll my eyes in the hopes that someday I'll get to spend money in equal proportions. Fat chance.
